Hey I'm Asia !
As a first-time graduate, I embarked on a journey that has shaped my dedication to empowering ambitious women navigating professional spaces. I am Asia Johnson, a licensed and board-certified behavior analyst with a graduate degree from Purdue University Global, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis.
My seven-year journey in Applied Behavior Analysis has taken me through diverse settings—homes, clinics, schools, and communities. Rooted in evidence-based practices and Assent-based learning, my approach focuses on skill acquisition while mitigating maladaptive behaviors.
Currently serving as a remote BCBA, I leverage virtual platforms to provide top-tier behavioral health services, conducting assessments, developing personalized intervention plans, and offering continuous support to clients and their families.
Driven by a passion to uplift women in their professional journeys, I founded Seizing 61:1. This consultancy, inspired by my own experiences, aims to empower ambitious women by offering guidance in their careers and providing business consultancy for sustainable client relationships in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
In addition to client care and Seizing 61:1, I advocate for individuals with disabilities, collaborating with NASA to enhance team dynamics in high-pressure environments.
Beyond my roles, I am committed to empowering parents, caregivers, and teachers through behavioral intervention training, equipping them with effective strategies for positive behavior change.
Recognized for my expertise, I serve as an invited Subject Matter Expert for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and actively contribute to the field as a committee member.
As a Louisiana native, my commitment is to make a significant impact in Applied Behavior Analysis, driven by the goal of enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Despite facing challenges as a first-time graduate and often being the ONLY black woman in the room, I've overcome and received compliments, proving that talent knows no bounds. Let's connect and navigate these professional spaces together."

A little more about me
I am a mother of three wonderful girls, McKenzie, Saige, and Madison, and the wife of Tommy.

My journey in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began when my daughter was waitlisted for an autism evaluation. Being on the receiving end of these services was an incredibly challenging period for me.

At the time, I was a single mother, managing everything on my own. It was a phase filled with loneliness and immense responsibility.

Our journey started with Early Steps. I actively sought out therapy options and worked tirelessly to address sibling rivalry. Throughout this time, I experienced exhaustion and stress beyond measure. While this might not mirror your experience, it's crucial for me to share my reasons.

My story has profoundly shaped me. It has influenced my career path, molded my dreams, and ignited my passion!

They are why Seizing 61:1 LLC exists.
Allow me to be the coach I wish I had when I truly need one the most!
